Jesus lived and gave his life for a profound purpose. In his words, "to seek and save the lost." Further, because God raised him from the dead, Jesus continues to pursue people with is love and grace! This is what he invites us to be a part of. At First Free, we want to join God's work of redeeming and restoring lives as we start to see things "on earth as they are in heaven."
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.”
1 John 3:16
We believe God desires to bring people together from all tribes, tongues and people groups. As we worship in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, we see people who represent many ages, national backgrounds, home languages, and cultural heritages. Not only do our English worship services reflect the cultural diversity of our neighborhood, but our sister-churches are worshiping in multiple other languages ever week.
We can imagine what the Apostle John envisioned when he wrote, "before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb (Jesus)."
